FAQ
1. What kind of people do you typically work with?
I work with individuals and families from all walks of life — from young professionals just getting started to retirees looking to make the most of what they've built. I also work with small business owners, parents planning for their kids' futures, and anyone in the community who wants thoughtful guidance without the runaround.
2. How do I know if working with a financial planner is right for me?
If you've ever wished you had someone to help you make sense of your finances — or if you've been putting off a financial decision because it feels overwhelming — that's usually a good sign it's time to talk. You don't need to have a certain income or a complicated situation. You just need to care about your future.
3. What happens during the first meeting?
We'll sit down and have a real conversation. I'll ask about your life, your goals, and what's on your mind financially. You can ask me anything too. There's no sales pitch, no commitment — just an honest conversation to see if working together feels right.
4. How do you charge for your services?
I'm always upfront about fees —One of the topics we'll discuss early in our relationship is how I'm compensated. I'll explain my fees and answer any questions you may have so you understand the costs associated with the services I provide. I believe clear communication and transparency are important when discussing financial matters.
5. Do I need a lot of money to work with you?
Not at all. I work with people at different stages of their financial lives. What matters most isn't how much you have — it's that you're ready to take your financial future seriously and want someone in your corner to help.
6. What's your approach to investing?
I take a long-term, goal-driven approach to investing. Rather than reacting to short-term market events, I work with clients to develop strategies based on their goals, risk tolerance, and timeline, and I provide ongoing reviews as their needs and circumstances evolve.
7. How often will we be in touch?
That's really up to you. At a minimum, we'll have regular check-ins to review your plan and discuss any changes that may affect your financial plan. But I'm always available between meetings if something comes up or you just have a quick question. I'd rather you reach out than wonder.
8. Will I always be working directly with you?
Yes. When you work with me, you work with me — not a call center, not someone you've never met. I'm personally involved in your plan from start to finish, and I'm the person you'll hear from when it's time to check in.
9. Can you help me even if retirement is still a long way off?
Absolutely. Whether retirement is five years away or thirty, starting the planning process early may provide additional opportunities to evaluate your goals, explore available options, and make informed financial decisions over time.
10. What if I already have a financial plan somewhere else?
That's perfectly fine. A lot of my clients come to me because they want a second set of eyes or feel like they've outgrown their current situation. I'm happy to review what you have and help you figure out if there's a better path forward.
11. Can you help with taxes?
I'm not a CPA or tax preparer, but tax-aware planning is a key part of what I do. I factor tax implications into your overall strategy, and I'm happy to work alongside your tax professional to help coordinate planning strategies.
12. What happens if something big changes in my life?
That's exactly when having a planner matters most. Whether it's a new job, a marriage, a baby, a loss, or anything else — I'll help you reassess and adjust your plan so it still reflects your current reality and goals.
13. Do you only help with investments?
Not at all. Investments are just one piece of the puzzle. I help with retirement planning, cash flow, debt management, estate strategy, insurance, education planning, and more. The goal is to evaluate these areas together as part of an overall planning strategy.
14. Is my information kept private?
Absolutely. Your personal and financial information is treated with the highest level of care. I follow strict privacy protocols and will never share your information without your explicit consent.
15. What's the easiest way to get started?
Just reach out. Whether you call, email, or fill out a form, I'll get back to you and we'll set up a time to talk. No preparation needed, no hoops to jump through — just a conversation about your life and your goals. That's it.
